Prof. Nicole Pamme, Stockholm University

Nicole Pamme is a Professor in Analytical Chemistry at Stockholm University. Her research team develops microfluidic lab-on-a-chip devices, which allow precise handling of liquids at microscopic scales. The group applies lab-on-a-chip technology for environmental analysis on-site, for clinical diagnostics at the point-of-care and the synthesis of smart materials. This has included continuous flow on-chip synthesis of amphiphilic hydrogels and continuous flow layer-by-layer deposition to generate drug delivery vesicles. Nicole has published >150 peer-reviewed publications and patents and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC). She is as an Associate Editor for Analyst (RSC) and has served on the Board of the Chemical and Biological Microsystems Society (CBMS), including as its President (2019-21).
