Dr. Mirva Eriksson joined Department of Materials and Environmental Chemistry (MMK), Stockholm University in 2015 as researcher. She is also the co-organizer of Stockholm Material Hub.
Dr. Eriksson has rich experience on sintering of different types of materials varying from ceramics (nitrides, oxides, hydroxyapatite, thermoelectric materials) to metals (titanium, hard metals, high entropy alloys) and their composites. Special interests are on tungsten and zirconia densified by spark plasma sintering (SPS, and known as field-assisted sintering, FAST).
Dr. Eriksson has published more than 20 peer-reviewed articles, 1 review and several conference contributions. She is now responsible for the National SPS Facility at MMK, SU, which is open for everyone in academia and in industry. She also used to work with Diamorph AB with developing hardmetal based composites for wear applications manufactured with spark plasma sintering.
