On Mar. 16th, SMH held the online workshop on materials for disinfection. 5 invited speakers from SU, KI, Scanninov Academy AB (SME member of SMH) and outside Sweden introduced different technical ideas and practical solutions to eliminate virus, especially SARS-COV-2, from the air and contact surfaces. There were 28 participants in the workshop, including experts from KTH and RISE Stockholm as well, and there was heated discussion on practicability of these ideas/solutions and how multidisplinary experts could further cooperate towards social relevance and commercial needs. It was agreed that rapid action and deeper collaboration among local research institutes and industry should be conducted to deal with current pandemic and also get ourselves prepared for the next possible one in the future.
